I’m Back

I started this blog seven years ago. I was 31, had been married for seven years, and there was a lot of pressure for my spouse and me to have kids.

As I have gotten older, that pressure has increasingly become less. Maybe becauseĀ  people feel uncomfortable about asking someone in their upper 30’s why they don’t have children. Infertility seems to be an increasing issue. Maybe society is becoming more accepting of childless couples. Maybe I just care a whole lot less than I did when I was younger.

No matter the reason, I still have things to share about being a woman without a child, finding significance and peace, and my journey.

So, I’m back. Over the last seven years, I quit my job as a teacher, started working for the company my husband started, moved three times, became a fitness instructor, lost a dog, and gained two nieces and a nephew. These experiences, plus more, have left me with a lot to process.

So while this is still a blog about married women without children, life has taught me that situations are only as isolating as you allow them to be and when you surround yourself with love and positivity, differences can be beautiful.
